Job Description
GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
To effectively plan, monitor, and control inventory so that parts are available to meet customer requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Reviews planned and unplanned material requirements and loads requisitions as necessary.
Assigns new stock numbers and maintains changes to the Item Master file.
Processes receipts of incoming material and issues material to manufacturing operations.
Processes discrepant receipt notifications and resolves issues.
Controls customer and government furnished property and returns from customers.
Issues, requisitions, and maintains MRO stock parts.
Provides direction to hourly personnel in regard to inventory processes.
Other Job Functions
Material Control
New part set-up in system, and processes inventory control transactions.
Material Planning
Reviews planned and unplanned material requirements and loads requisitions as necessary.
MRO Stock Parts
Issues, requisitions, and maintains MRO stock parts.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards
Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
2-year college/university degree (technical field preferred), or equivalent experience required.
1 to 2 years related experience in manufacturing or computerized data analysis field required.
Knowledge of inventory systems; computer skills required.
WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Office environment
Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones)
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
